11/4 6/2 Implementation

Yesterday we implemented the 6/2 -11/4 work rest boards. There are going to be growing pains by changing the way we’ve done things. Please bear with us and document and submit any issues you are having, also make sure you have standing bids for jobs/boards you want and delete what you don’t. I want to thank those of you who were able to go to the meeting . Im going to try and answer the most common questions.

  1. you will not Qualify for holiday pay on the 11/4, which means they will not take your pl days in lieu of. the reason being is this is a work rest board not a extra board–6/2 boards Gemco and LA are still xb and will still qualify for holiday pay which means you will be docked pl days
  2. you may bookend days on the 11/4 you can ask for a single lv day at the beginning of your 4 days off and at the end, which would give you 6 days off and your guarantee will not be treated. however you must not have any change of status it must be ok to lv. be aware if CMS calls you before the lv day lets says it scheduled at 0801 and they call you at 8, your cooked.
  3. the 11-4 has a multiplier 1.3 so you can qualify for pl days
  4. Bumps- the only way off the 11-4 is request a quarterly bump- 5 days before the end of the quarter (march 01, June 01, September 01, December 01) you must send a email to lc@blet5.com stating where your requesting to go. you may not bump back to the same pool to get better rest days
  5. Guarantee- Guarantee is 6203.16 per half – based on 11 day half , a new daily rate will be established based on the 11 day half- 23 hour rest/reset period will not affect guarantee-bonus day(no layoffs,or taking rest) + 413.54 (15 day half) or + 387.69 (16 day half)
  6. Cuts-when work groups are equal size cuts will be made reducing the junior engineer. when the groups are not equal size the junior man in the larger group will be reduced
  7. Cross protect- if other boards are exhausted you must take the call to cross protect- no secondary on cross protect, because this is not a XB -The only secondary earnings splits left are co452 xe10, cx809 xe10.
  8. Layoffs- will be in increments of 24 hours- you may mark up after a minimum of 12 hours
  9. displacement- you have 3 hours from the first attempted contact to make a move to protect guarantee- bumped at AFHT you have 3 hours upon tie up at HT. also you have (24) twenty four hours to make a bump
  10. Vacation- Engineers will start their weekly vacation on Sunday but will have the unrestricted ability to move vacation forward or backward 96 hours.* Engineers must notify CMS seven(7) days prior to start of scheduled vacation send to LC@blet5.com
  11. Hold downs- old heading or taking a temp hd is eliminated on these 11/4 6/2 boards
